This auction is for a 1969 Shelby De Mexico Cobra GT 350, one of 306 cars produced in 1969, and represents a unique chapter in Shelby history. The car is powered by a 302-4V engine and 4 speed transmission. The exterior is Ivy Gold, as well as the interior color. These cars were actually coupes, with fiberglass extensions to give the car a "fastback" profile. The decklid, roof extension, quarter end caps, hood and front bumper are all unique Shelby De Mexico fiberglass. These cars, as well as the history of the Shelby De Mexico program are featured on page 1250 of the Shelby American World Registry, 1997 edition.

The car comes with the original window sticker, along a letter from Eduardo Velazquez Contreras, documenting the authenticity of this Shelby. The condition is overall very good, and surprisingly rust free. The car does have an old repaint at some point in the car's history.
