My 1966 Mustang (click on the thumbnails for larger images)

Welcome on my homepage. I'm Erik and the proud owner of the Mustang in the pictures above.
It's a 1966 Hardtop Coupe with a 200 cid 6 cilinder engine and a 4-speed manual gearbox (dagenham).

About me: I'm 27 years old and work for the KLM (Royal Dutch Airlines) where I perform overhauls and repairs on yet-engine components. I live in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and just bought my own house.

About my Mustang: I bought the stang in july 1995, since then I replaced some chrome part and had the cylinder head overhauled because the valve guides were worn, also the head was modified for unleaded fuel.

I have had some help from David Hammar and Eric Ambrosino in explaining my unusual
vehicle identification number: AN07ED34266.

I know for sure now that my mustang is assembled in the Netherlands in november '65.
It's the only mustang known that was assembled in the Ford plant in Amsterdam that year.
If there are any more driving arount in europe I would very much like to hear about them.
There are some '67 models in France and Germany that are also assembled in Amsterdam.
You can find some info on Eric Ambrosino's Page about these cars.

Holland is not the only country in wich Mustangs were assembled, there are also mustangs assembled in Mexico and in Venezuela. David Hammar's South of the Border Mustang Registry
is dedicated to collecting and presenting all possible information concerning these South of the Border
Classic Mustangs. On this page there is also a VIN decoder that can be used on Ford
cars assembled outside of their country of origin.

The colour is a story on it's own, my car is dark green and the colour code on the warranty plate is F03, I haven't
been able to find this paint code in any book or anywhere on the Net. If anyone knows what this code means
please E-mail me at: mustangmail@planet.nl.

I'm planning to restore my mustang in a few years because the gearbox and engine need an overhaul (they're getting noisy). When I'm going to restore the Mustang it will be completely stripped and rebuilt from a bare shell.
This might take a few years but it will be worth it in the end.
